Conclusion
Over the course of Henry Clay and Andrew Jackson’s feuds, one thing has remained: their strong desire for the welfare of the country. Both men clashed heads over the key issues like tariffs, American system, banks, etc. However, Andrew Jackson’s ideas oftentimes prevailed due to his status. His many changes, while implemented, were quite controversial, such as the treatment of Native Indians. He made several decisions which angered the American people, and yet he was honored on the $20 bill. The Republicans at the time would have opposed this.
